In my opinion, i dont think its that ethical to change a persons appearance. If they are a model, it should be for what makes them a model, or in that case everyone can really be one. The way they change things to make it look better. But then again, im kind of in the middle about it because of the fact of what exactly they can change. They did change a lot about the girl, but it still was her.
Under what circumstances is it worse than others? I think its worse than others, when the point of the photo is being changed from what its point is from the beginning. When they add and or delete stuff to try and make a different point.
What types of changes are ok, and what aren't? When fixing a little blemish on a person i think thats okay, when clearing up some of the photo thats okay, i think when changing or deleting something and creating it the way it should be to make it look better is not okay.
Explain what you think the differences are between fashion photography and photojournalism. What relationship does each have to reality, and how does this affect the ethics of each.
The differences between fashion photography and photojournalism is the fashion industry is mainly trying to sell the product, when photojournalism is trying to sell the event & the story of the photo. In reality everyone knows the models never really look like that in person, but in photojournalism it has a major living affect of how people see the world. The ethics of these change because many photos in the fashion photography change to improve the photo.
